Oxygen Rules Pinching Patients

Please read the following article by the Wall Street Journal which discusses the harmful impact of the oxygen program on businesses and the patients they serve.

Oxygen Rules Pinching Patients - Wall Street Journal

GAO Report

The GAO report below focuses on the high unemployment that program causes and shows that CMS admits to allowing unlicensed and inexperienced bid winners to participate in the first attempt at the program. CMS claims a 26% reduction in costs to Medicare but keep in mind that the reductions were at the hand of many companies that shouldn’t have been eligible to participate. This program rolls out in the Charlotte area January 2011 and then in the Asheville, Greensboro-High Point and Raleigh-Durham areas probably the following year. Our goal is to not let it get that far!
